Whitmer High School
Principal's Message:

Mark Verroco I am proud to be the principal at Whitmer High School. Whitmer High School has a rich tradition in our academic, athletic, and co-curricular programs that allows our student body to broaden their knowledge during their four years as Panthers. We ask that you take the time to browse our website to gain knowledge about the events we offer our students here at Whitmer and across the district.

I also encourage you to attend our scheduled parent forums during the school year, parent-teacher conferences, and numerous other events that your child participates in during the year.

Finally, please read the many handbooks the Washington Local Schools provide for you and your child. This information is important for your child's success.

Mark Verroco
WHS Principal

CTC Director's Message:

Deb Heban Thirty years ago you could secure a good paying job with only a high school diploma as long as you were eager to work hard. However, now with the development of the technological age, those jobs have vanished. We no longer can look at a high school diploma as the end of our education.

Career Tech brings education to life using problem-based & inquiry-based curriculum. Programs offered at the CTC respond to the needs of a fast changing global workforce and economy.

Career Tech education is based on the premise that for today's students to be adequately prepared for tomorrow's workforce, they must have an education that incorporates a broad, long-term beginning work experience in combination with the ability to specialize. Career Tech education stresses the importance and need of strong academic knowledge and skills along with the high school to post secondary transitions. This is done by providing a seamless pathway for students to easily advance to post secondary education through several advanced credit and articulated credit options.

Check out the sixteen career-tech training programs at Whitmer Career & Technology Center.
