Let me welcome you to McGregor Elementary School, a"school of promise." This year, the State of Ohio will honor only 141 schools with this distinction out of the over 4,000 Ohio schools. This honor means that the staff and students here at McGregor Elementary have overcome obstacles to continue proving our excellence. We are excited to receive this award and do so with humility and gratitude.
Even if you do not attend McGregor, we consider every Washington Local School resident a member of our family. Our school along with every other school in our district pride ourselves on committing to our "core values". Our core values tell a lot about our students and staff and the dedication in showing our 12 core values. They are honesty, courage, dignity, gratitude, excellence, dedication, loyalty, teamwork, service, respect, trust and responsibility.
Our Parent Club is also committed in showing our core values as they help teachers, students and volunteer to make McGregor the best school it can be. This does not go unseen by our students and staff and we appreciate all of the effort our Parent Club puts forth. With that being said, this is proof that the community as a whole is what makes McGregor successful.
Building positive relationships with our students along with academic achievement is our mission. Creating leaders who will change our community and world in a positive way is equally important. In the end, we want parents to know that we love your children and treat them as our own. Your decision to move to Washington Local Schools and attend one of our outstanding schools is the best decision you can make.
