Congratulations to the Whitmer Varsity Quiz Bowl Team
Congratulations to members of the Whitmer Varsity Quiz Bowl Team and their 30-13 victory on Tuesday, November 24th over Rossford at Bowling Green High School. Points were scored by Associate Team Captain Ron Sutter, Zak Kramer, Calvin Mayer, Jesse Nelson, and Lucas Duncan.

Congratulations to Shoreland and Trilby on being recognized as a School of Promise for the 2008 - 2009 school year! In being named a School of Promise, Shoreland and Trilby are part of an elite group of 134 schools, in Ohio, recognized this year for high achievement in reading and mathematics for all groups of students.

4 of 10 Winners are Washington Local Students
Four of ten winners in the Spring '09 Family Resources Writing Contest were Washington Local students. Students wrote to honor their parents. The student winners, their parents, and their teachers were honored by sponsor St. Vincent Mercy Children's Hospital, in September at a breakfast during Parents Week. Season Tickets for Varsity, JV and Freshman Basketball
Season tickets for boys' or girls' varsity, JV and freshman basketball are now available in Room 108 of the Whitmer building. Adult passes are $50 and student/child passes are $35. These are good for the entire boys' or girls' basketball season. This is a savings of over 10%. You must act soon. The girls' season begin Nov. 27 and the boys' home opener is Dec. 5. Whitmer Hockey at the New Arena - Tournament for the "Walleye Cup"
Whitmer Hockey will play on Sunday, December 13th, at noon, in the Lucas County Arena. Whitmer Hockey will play in a tournament game for the "Walleye Cup" (opponent unknown). For $15, you get admission to the game AND a voucher for a regular-season Walleye game (some exclusions apply--see attachment for more details). The Washington Local Schools Community Resource Fair
Washington Local Schools will hold a Community Resource Fair on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 in the Whitmer High School Cafeteria from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. The informational fair will feature a variety of assistance program from local community agencies, including The United Way, Job and Family Services, The Source, The Fair Housing Center, the Ohio Consumers Council and MORE!

Whitmer Hockey at the New Arena - Battle for the Tremainsville Cup
Whitmer Hockey will play Start on Sunday, January 10th, at noon, in the Lucas County Arena.
