Infinite Opportunity Olympics
The Infinite Opportunity Olympics--an athletic event for our children with special needs--was held on Saturday, May 5. There was an Opening Ceremony, track and field events, awarding of medals, and a cookout for the participants and their families. Family Movie Night
The Washington Local Family Movie Night featuring We Bought a Zoo will be held on Friday, May 18, at the Whitmer stadium. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. and the movie starts at 7:00. Bring a blanket to spread on the field. Students MUST be accompanied by an adult for the entire event. There will be concessions (hot dogs, walking tacos, popcorn and more), 50/50 raffle, spirit gear raffle, and a bake sale. Proceeds will benefit the Positive Behavior System.

Relay for Life
The Washington Local School community is joining together to walk at the Bedford Relay for Life in support of Vince Maraugha, a teacher who has battled cancer since 2000. 2012 Elementary Cross Country Registration
The mission of WLXC is to promote fitness, acceptance, and self confidence for children in the Washington Local Community by encouraging exercise and healthy living, building relationships through teamwork and cooperation, and recognizing personal growth and individual accomplishments. Each elementary school will have a team and they will consist of K-3rd grade running a half mile and 4th-6th grade running a full mile. Practice will be 2 times a week beginning the week of August 27th, with 3 or 4 cross country meets in late September and into October. [ Registration Form ]
